Six Flags

This was one of the most amazing experience ever. Thank you Wesley for organizing this, thank you for the guys just being funny and everything, thank to JJ, Erin, Angie, Tiff for being there the whole time with me, every moment and going crazy in the rain! Us wild wild girls... and of course, thank you John, for making this the hell of experience that it is. For going on most of the rides with me even though you're sick to your stomach (quite literally), and even ditching your friends to be there. Thank you thank you... to make such a rainy yucky day not bad at all! =)

Lets start it off, I was so excited about the trip that I could not sleep and woke up around 3:40, stayed in bed for another 30 minutes before giving up. So for the first time ever without my parents knowing, and getting away with it, I was on the computer doing random unconstructive stuff, finally around 6 I started seriously getting ready.

Met up with everyone, waited at the wrong gate so didn't get on the bus, so sort of got there late.

On route - Mah Jongg!!! Screw you over! Chinese poker, diff rules. Haha, Angie's come ons to Wesley's cousin was hilarious. Haha drew pigs on ppl...
Time to route everything we done
Great American Scream Machine! first roller coaster there, not bad, not overly exciting either, had to do it cuz of tradition, not raining, sat with - John and I and behind us, Tiffy and Angie
Super Man Ultimate Flight - OMG... we actually had to WAIT! argh, but it was all good, really fun, pretty cool going face down and stuff, even more interesting all the commotion while waiting online, story about slutty girls and rand pics haha
Double Medusa - haha, held paper in my hands, felt kinda woosy afterward, but it was still all fun, damn... double dose... craziness
By then it started to rain kinda hard already, so we headed towards Nitro
Batman first! Whoo hooo! I was thinking fast so I got into the FRONT ROLL seats w/ John =)... hehe coolness... on my favorite ride, I love it so much... it's just a good feeling you get... dangling legs, getting hung instead of getting held up from the bottom... which brings me to...
NITRO- we went on this twice too, it is the most amzing coaster, but still not my fav. Batman is..., and then we all ran and went on it again! No lines! WE're CRAZY!
Haha, after that we decided to take a break... could u believe it was almost 2?!
So we went to eat... Wesley, Tiff and Tudor first got Funnel Cake, and then we went to really eat... poor John... he got dragged onto everything and it was the first time he EVER rode roller coasters..., he couldn't even eat... while we were all eating chicken during lunch, also played cards
After lunch the guys and the girls split up... guys and their arcade, and of course... I dragged John with me, by then, it was raining really really hard... so us gals and John headed to...
Skull Mountain - wow, absolutely NO ONE was on there, haha, so we rode it like twice... someone was screaming his head off... hahaha... "are you afraid of the dark?" haha, I guess he is =P
Time for us to go wonderfully kiddy, because us girls are always like that =P
Ferris Wheel - "What are you guys doing?! We saw that!" "ugh, stop now, now now now now argghhhh" It was a pretty nice view all the way up there... relaxing too
THe Great Houdini - nice and waaaaarrrrmmmm! "I LOVE YOU HOUDINI!!!!", our senses are deceiving us! Wow... it' so cool...
Carosouel - major major props to you John, for riding the chicken with me... we were so silly, and it was soooo feminine hehe
Teacups - OMG.. sooo dizzying... it was crazy fun though, we were spinning around and around and trying to turn the wheel, somehow I ended up really far away. "oh so we get the gay pink one" hehe =P
that kinda made me sick... argh... so much turning around
Freight Train - haha, quite cute roller coaster, I think...
Great Teepee - we are SUCH dorks, spend the whole time trying to do like different types of old puzzles hehe
We walked along the river back and went to see the dolphin show!!
Casie/Cathy was sooo cute! Seal seal! The dolphins are sooo adorably cute as well, Flipper like! hehe
Another roller coaster train thingy - it was fun as well hehe, kinda tiny and weird... we went on it... twice is it?
Bucaneer - haha opposite sides, screaming "row row row your boat, gently down the stream... merrily merrily merrily merrily..." haha
Jolly Roger - hehe, remind u of Gela's bf doesn't it? j/k j/k
not done yet...
Spin thingy - "this is the best position to get laid" hahahaha, felt nothing though, =P
Skull Mountain - animal noises, scream as loud as u can, damn... we were in there for like what? 3 times?! haha
it was 5 something and I just HAD to go back to my love - Batman!
Haha... rode at the second roll and I screamed in sheer terror... when water splashed on me... haha, that was the most terrifying thing EVER, by then the rain was really heavy and it felt so baddd getting whipped in the face (I know how you feel now =P j/k j/k). As if THAT wasn't enough, we went on the front row - me Angie, JJ and Erin, us crazy Stuy girls, we linked arms and screamed our head off... wow... amazing, amazing experience!
and then... NITRO! whoo hoo! us girlies haha... then stupid Wesley made up trudge all the way to the other side of the park... and just when we thought we could've gone inside... they were kicked out... arrgghhh... those stupid guys weren't wet at all, they played Texas and were in the arcade "swords..."

OMG... and to the part...
okay... park closed at 6, bus come at 8, heavy heavy rain, wet from top to bottom, you see a problem?
so... UMBRELLA HUDDLE. Wesley must've had his fantasy fulfilled... 5 girls... are soooo close hahaha, Chetan's terrorist stories... omg... it was hilarious, although we were sooooo freezing cold... quite interesting... though... "don't break u the formation" "breach!!!!!!" "there's a hole here" "there are holes everywhere" "is there a bus coming?!" hehe... it was sooo funny although I was freezing to death, we were ready to get a hotel room to sleepover the night haha... Chetan and his idea of "getting a room just for the ladies ::wink wink::" haha
finally when we got into somehwere warm, the bus comes... and we got on the second bus...
the bus ride back was nice... =) hehe... really nice... I liked it a lot... nice and quiet and warm and sweet and... all those good things.

Applebees! Hehe... yummm food, thank you Wesley and Mikhail for paying for us!

Got home: 12:40...
this was one hell of an experience, I thank all of you for giving it to me.
To:
Wesley the organizer, planning, convincing and covering for me for one of the MOST AMAZING experiences EVER
Chris his cousin (not nephew) for Angie to "hit on"
Tudor: The preppy SI dude who came despite his friends ditching him
Hobo: Being his Hobo, but civilized self
Chetan: FOr his numerous numerous funny stories inside the umbrella
Mikhail: For being the scapegoat for everyone
Tiffany: For bringing some "common sense" blood into all of us
Erin: for her energetic HALLOOOOOOO! and being the most daring of us all!
Angie: Stuy mouse! hehe, the one who's ready to do everything, and bringing humor!
JJ: Of course, sensible but courageous JJ =P
and of course of course...
John: Thank you for adding the whip cream (=P, u know what I mean) to the top of the wonderful cheese cake (hm... must bake more), and being so brave and going on all of it, for ditching all of your friends to hang out with me and getting completely wet and your hair messed up. Thank you very very very much!

SPRING BREAK 2004 was awesome..., nope I didn't go far... but it was fun nonetheless...
thank you guys for making this an amazing spring break... last one in HS

So... two acceptance, two waitlist

if things follow suit, two rejections and one more acceptance
fair enough
although when I applied I expected two rejections, one waitlist and 4 accptance, but I guess life dun work out the way you want it to
NYU?

I hate fucken college board, they lost my SAT scores to McGill, so now what? no financial safety school? I dun want their stupid mistake to cost my parent 120000+ dollars, it's not worth it.

If I don't get into McGill, I'm going to sue them, anyone with me? WE probalby can file a law suit around 1 billion dollars... they have enough money.

Now watch, it's gonna be 3 rejections
so I would only have gotten into 2 schools and I applied conservatively too, not like Sarwar, oh I hate college board...

Shame Versus Guilt...
I always thought guilt was better, guilt give yourself a moral sense, right? I feel guilty because I have morals, even when you're feeling guilty because you're not feeling guilty...

Asian cultures are known to be introverted, things suppose to come from within, understanding and everything else. People are naturally more quiet, demure etc, Asian cultures points inward, thing about Tao De Ching and Buddhism, there isn't the huge emphasis of materials. If there's something wrong, it's because of imbalance, things are pointed inward. It's the inside that matters, people don't actively seek stimuli, and other influence are not as important as internal ones.

Then why are Asian cultures shame culture? Confucius thought it was better punishment to shame someone than corpreal punishment. It worked didn't it? Most people, Asians espeically are afraid of losing face aren't they? There's the whole idea of not wanting to show people how you really are, isn't all of that true? How disturbing...

Sorry, but I follow guilt... shame is less important... yes I care about how people see me, but guilt is intrinsic.

Or... Jung is right... no too extremes.

I  psych

waitlisted, why aren't I surprised?

no don't feel sympathy, I didn't expect to get in, it was what I expected all along...

i'm a lot calmer than i thought i'd be, maybe it's because i'm really sick, maybe it's because i dun think i can go either way, it's sad... it's the only school that i fell in love with when i visited, it's the only school that i chose on my own without parental or friend's influence...

it's the school that i spend days reading about it and choosing courses from... it hurts partially... but i'm numb because i'm sick...

well think about it this way, it's not like i could've went if i had gotten in right?

LJ comment -
it's the only school that attracted so much of my attention... all of it, it was the only school i dared to love, not because of its name, it's unknown in China... i liked the way people described it, i liked the freedom it presented, and i liked the city with the arch and the ted drew's frozen custards... but... none of that matter now...

well... there are always other school

Dear Ms. Zhang,

Congratulations on your admission to the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA) at the University of Michigan. We are writing to tell you about the LSA Honors Program and to invitey ou to join us for the Fall of 2004. After reviewing your file, we think that you are well suited to Honors' challenging academic proram and bigorous intellectual community. We describe the Program more fully below, but its animating idea can be summed up briefly: talent and interesting people pursuing ideas and understanding together. This letter is your invitation - we hope you will join us.

WHOO! LSA HONORS! hehe... U Mich is looking better and better by the day... psych and biz... I actually dunno any other school with such a perfect combination, I think I like U Mich better than Wash U ::gasps:: Now if I can pay for it... hm...

This really get me to think... I dunno any other school with a more perfect balance for my interests... (except Berkely, but I didn't apply there ::sigh::), Haas and Berkeley's psych program is great... and U Mich is just perfect... I dunno... well it all depend on financial

Third entry today... okay... but it's related to the other two...

Today I learned something really important... many things actually... but yea...

Today has been a really accomplished day... I finally resolved something from a long time ago with someone.

I also resolved something that's related to that, but is a current issue.

I got into my first college... one that I really like.

And I learned that psych does work... and psych is what propelled me to do what I did... (at least it was part of it.

Toast to a really fulfilling day.

Dear Ms. Zhang:

I am pleased to inform you that you have been accepted as a member of the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science and the Arts class entering Fall 2004.

YES!!!! WHOO LUCY! Hm... lets go visit U Mich together! (although I been there before)
Wow... I'm so ecstatic... when I opened my mail box I saw a whole bunch of mail, along with a HUGE envelopoe w/ U Mich's symbol. And I opened it yes! I got in!!!
Wow... this is such good news after crying on the phone and such... I'm going to college.

I can honestly say U Mich is one of the school I'd want to go, I like it better than Carnegie Mellon and NYU because it has a killer psych program and a great business program. Also, somehow, if I can be an independent, my tuition will drop... must do research on that now. I'm so happy =) ::squeal::

It's one of the schools I know something about and really like... I'm sooooo happy about it, it's definately better than my mood this morning.

::ecstatic::
